My favorite singer Sasha, from her new album "Me Again" this year.
I consider myself someone who finds it hard to stick to something for a long time, overly idealistic, or perhaps naive combined with perfectionism, always easily getting carried away but unable to persist in the long run.
I initially thought writing a blog would be another one of those half-hearted endeavors. I was first moved by xlog, an open and inclusive open-source creative community, and having a web3 blog seemed like a really cool thing.
After integrating into the xlog community, I continuously managed my own blog and met many friends who also write independent blogs. While documenting my life, I often felt a sense of recognition and was also moved by the vision of pursuing independent blogging.
However, as work became increasingly busy and my own state of mind continued to decline, I seemed to start escaping from it all. In a stand-up comedy show, Yan Hexiang described how he escaped from Guo Qilin and the world of crosstalk by riding a motorcycle, crossing Central Asia and Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Panama Canal, reaching the Pampas grasslands, arriving at the antipodal point farthest from his hometown on Earth.
At this point, he was the farthest from his troubles; you can no longer take a step forward. You want to climb to the highest point, to get a little farther from your worries, but there isn't even a tree in sight.
Conversely, every step you take afterward brings you closer to your former dreams.
I originally didn't plan to try the follow app because I knew I had switched RSS subscription apps several times and hadn't managed to cultivate the habit of reading RSS.
But after downloading and experiencing it, I realized it truly is an app that exists only in ideals. Although it may have some imperfections, it has indeed become my best app of the year.
The smooth reading experience, reasonable subscription categories, numerous independent blog authors, a wealth of quality subscription sources, and the interaction between readers and authors all moved me for the third time.
In an instant, I felt alive again; the suppressed desire to express myself and all my doubts about myself vanished into thin air. I believe I can persist in writing.
This is the preface for this week's report.
Bird Watching 🐦 Bird Watching 🐦 Bird Watching 🐦 Bird Watching 🐦#
I got up around 6:15 AM, and after a quick wash, I headed straight to Shenzhen Bay.
It was my first time experiencing the joy of bird watching, but unfortunately, the Tamron 28-200 can capture very limited shots.
Shenzhen Bay, around 7 AM, the sun just peeked out from the clouds, and there was a faint red glow in the distant sky. The flying movements of these four little birds made me suspect if it was a slow-motion replay of a bird 😂
A friend said that there are two approaches to third-party lenses: one prioritizes wide-angle, like the Tamron 28-200, and the other prioritizes telephoto, and they highly recommend the Tamron 50-400. Well, now I want to buy a lens again 😅
However, Swan Lake is definitely worth a visit. I snapped away, but the results weren't great... I'll reluctantly share a few that are decent:
A Bunch of Bird-Related Stuff! Super Frustrating Bird Observation Notes Book Club#
I was introduced to the somewhat niche hobby of "bird watching," and I thank Senior Jie Xia for the suggestion that got me deeply fascinated.
Friends who enjoy bird watching often give themselves nature names; for example, this time's lecturer is called Goat, and "Jie Xia" is also derived from a type of plant.
This is indeed a particularly interesting book. The author hand-drew many birds and gave them lots of fun nicknames in the book.

The little birds drawn by the author are so amusing, haha:
